the sirens went off last night

The atomic bomb ones, left over from the cold war times.

We had to wake up the kids, our neighbors (who don't have a basement) came over and stayed for a few hours.  We all slept in the basement.  Muddy water seeped in through the drain in the floor of our bathroom, but not too much.

We have a least two more nights of tornado weather to look forward to.

Toto, I think we're not in Arizona anymore.

Oh no. . . Sorry!

I don't even know how many times we have heard tornado sirens. Mikes first time :) I grew up in Kansas, so a little more immune to the sound.

Bad news is they don't build basements in the houses here. Luckily most of the time sirens go off not too much happens.

what in the world?

well, at least it was for tornados and not for an atomic bomb, right? just looking on the bright side.

Hurricanes I know, Tornadoes I don't! Pretty scary though!

Sorry about your basement! Atleast it's not your house right? Heopfully it can all get repaired fast!

AND! Seth is so big!! I love the beginning of the school year/end of the school year picture. I will have to do that one for sure!!

YIKES! sorry about your basement. We spent some good time in our basement last night with the tornado sirens blaring also. I've never felt so under-prepared. I laughed when I saw our five, 5 gallon water containers sitting, still empty from our move 2 years ago....hmmm...maybe it's time to fill them up!
